Château HYOT, Côtes de Castillon is a very good value with a high level of quality and technicity. It is elaborated in the purest tradition of Bordeaux, without oak barrels which makes very fruity wines to drink rather quickly

TASTING: Deep ruby colour, nice bouquet with a generous fruit. The wine is round and sensual with a good length. 

Surface of the vineyard : 30 ha

Grape varieties : 60% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

Average of the vineyard: 25 - 30 years

Soils : gravel

Growing methods : plot selection, stripping and yields are limited

Vinification : Traditional with a long maceration

Maturation : 18 to 20 months in barrels of 1 wine. Botlled at the château

Tight and firm young wine with tar and berry flavors that follow through to a medium body, firm tannins and a fresh finish.

A ripe and spicy wine, this shows rich tannins and a solid texture. Juicy blackberry-jelly flavors lighten the load of richness and shed an attractive light on the wine's fruitiness. Drink from 2021.
